A trio of economic development projects designed to help strengthen the regional economy and attract tourists in North Bay is receiving nearly $1.4 million from the province.
The Jack Garland Airport is getting $800,000 to renovate and expand the terminal to allow for increased traffic flow.
The Municipality of Callender is receiving $575,200 to complete wharf and marina Improvements identified in the Downtown Waterfront Revitalization Strategy.
The Town of Englehart, in partnership with the Township of Chamberlain, Township of Evanturel and the Municipality of Charlton and Dack, is receiving $22,545 to help complete the Central Timiskaming District Strategic Plan to build a more stable economy in the communities.
Funding comes from the province’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp.
