North Bay Mayor Al McDonald was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities for his leadership and dedication to the North Bay community, as well as his distinguished service to Canada.
The medal was created to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the Throne. McDonald was also the recipient of the 50th Anniversary Queen’s Diamond Jubiliee Medal in 2003.
He was presented the medal at a recent city council meeting by Chief Administrative Officer Jerry Knox.
