Aboriginal Tourism Ontario will host its inaugural Business Tourism Conference April 6 to 8 at Casino Rama.

Aboriginal Tourism Ontario will host its inaugural Business Tourism Conference April 6 to 8 at Casino Rama.

The event is being marketed to entrepreneurs, economic development officers, hospitality and tourism employees, industry stakeholders, government, First Nations businesses and communities, and private sector organizations interested in developing partnerships with First Nations groups.

Workshop topics may include trends impacting tourism, best practices for online sales, sustainable tourism, proposal writing and partnerships. There will also be a trade show on site.

Aboriginal Tourism Ontario has a mandate to promote and grow Aboriginal tourism in Ontario to an international audience.

The organization is facilitated by the Great Spirit Circle Trail, based in M’Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island.
