Mining conference marks 20 years in June

Laurentian University ’s Goodman School of Mines will welcome delegates to Sudbury June 20 to 25 for the Mining and the Environment International Conference , the fifth edition of the event. The first event was held 20 years ago.

Laurentian University’s Goodman School of Mines will welcome delegates to Sudbury June 20 to 25 for the Mining and the Environment International Conference, the fifth edition of the event. The first event was held 20 years ago.

The conference will bring together technical experts in the environmental and environmental-health sciences, policymakers, and regulators from around the world to address mind, land, and waterways rehabilitation and related environmental protection issues.

Included in the conference are a series of lectures, a trade show, field trips, and a student competition. As a key component of the conference, the trade show exhibition will feature innovative developments and displays relevant to the mining industry, including a blend of industry, association and academic exhibits from all aspects of the mining and environmental community.

Over the five editions of the conference, more than 2,000 delegates have attended.

Deadline for registration is June 15.
