Pacific North West Capital is building a case in its search to find a partner to develop a PGM deposit in northeastern Ontario.
The Vancouver-based explorer announced Jan. 22 that SFA Oxford, a precious metals researcher, has completed an independent assessment of its River Valley PGM Project, 60 kilometres east of Sudbury.
The company said the report should strengthen its search to find a strategic partner to develop “one of the largest primary PGM deposits in Canada.”
River Valley contains measured and indicated resources of 91 million tonnes at 0.58 grams per tonne (g/t) palladium, 0.22 g/t platinum and 0.04 g/t gold for 2.5 million ounces of PGM and gold.
The company said it focuses on finding and proving up North American PGM and nickel-copper sulphide properties that are available for either option agreements or joint venture opportunities.
Pacific North West also announced it has reached a memorandum of understanding with the Temagami First Nation to provide a framework for communication.
