Probe Mines changes up board

Probe Mines elected new members to its board of directors during its annual general meeting on Oct. 29.

Jamie Sokalsky will take on the chair’s role, while other elected members include David Palmer, company president and CEO, Gordon McCreary, Basil Haymann, John B. Gammon and Dennis H. Peterson.

"We are very excited to welcome Jamie in his role as chairman after joining the board as a director on September 16, 2014,” Palmer said in a news release. “As Probe's new chairman, his considerable expertise and experience will be instrumental in the development of one of Canada's most exciting new gold projects."

In addition, at the shareholder meeting, the auditors were reappointed and the stock option plan of Probe was approved. The information circular with respect to the shareholder meeting is found on www.sedar.com.

Probe’s key asset is the Borden Gold project near Chapleau. The company is well-funded to continue advancing and growing a significant gold resource on its Borden Gold project. Probe controls a large land package along the Borden Belt representing over 400 square kilometres of exploration ground. The company also has a 100 per cent interest in the Black Creek chromite deposit located in Northern Ontario.
