International Montoro Resources has started communication with a trio of Aboriginal stakeholders before going ahead with mineral exploration on its Pecors property near Elliot Lake.

International Montoro Resources has started communication with a trio of Aboriginal stakeholders before going ahead with mineral exploration on its Pecors property near Elliot Lake.

Montoro has sent information to Serpent River First Nation, the Métis Nation of Ontario, and Mississaugi First Nation, outlining its intention to embark on a minimum two-hole deep diamond drilling program—approximately 700 to 1,000 metres each—into the centre of its Pecors nickel-copper-PGE anomaly.

The property comprises 10 mineral claims measuring approximately 1,840 hectares. The company believes the anomaly could show mineralization similar to what’s been found east of Sudbury.

It’s a neighbour to Pele Mountain Resources’ Eco Ridge uranium and rare earth deposit, and about 50 kilometres from Vale’s new Totten Mine.
