Nordex Explosives reported record sales of more than $4.8 million in its fourth quarter of 2013.
The Kirkland Lake industrial supplier said that’s an increase of 19 per cent from the same period last year and about 75 per cent jump from its fourth quarter in 2011.
The company also recorded sales of $3.4 million through the first two months of this year, a 52 per cent increase from the same period last year and 66 per cent increase during the first two months of sales in 2012.
Nordex previously announced this month it’s expanding into Western Canada, having signed a letter of intent to form a 50/50 joint venture with Privco to sell and distribute packaged explosives products, accessories and other material.
