Wawa’s a winner

The Economic Development Corporation of Wawa is during a provincial award with Prodigy-Argonaut Gold for promoting youth entrepreneurship.

At its annual conference (*when?, the The Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) recognized the EDC and the mining company for its efforts for the Wawa Mine Your Business youth entrepreneurship project.

The initiative was geared to the 30 and under crowd who want to learn about starting their business.

“The EDC of Wawa was thrilled to receive this award and thanks Prodigy-Argonaut and the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Employment for its contribution to the success of the Wawa Mine Your Own Business youth project,” said Maury O’Neill, CEO of Economic Development Wawa. “I was very pleased that Michelle Tanguay from Argonaut-Prodigy and Dan Humphries from MEDT (Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Employment_ were able to participate at the EDCO Awards ceremony and share in receiving this award.”
