Temex files resource report on Timmins-area projects

Temex Resources Corp. has filed NI 43-101 resource reports for its Juby gold and Whitney gold projects near Timmins . The Juby project, owned 100 per cent by Temex, is located near Shining Tree, south of Timmins, and covers 14,423 acres.

The Juby project, owned 100 per cent by Temex, is located near Shining Tree, south of Timmins, and covers 14,423 acres.

Project highlights include 1,090,400 ounces of gold contained in 26.6 million tonnes at a grade of 1.28 g/t gold in the total indicated category; 2,908,800 ounces of gold contained in 96.2 million tonnes at a grade of 0.94 g/t gold in the total inferred category. The company predicts potential for resource expansion and exploration.

The Whitney project is a joint venture with Goldcorp, with Temex owning 60 per cent and Goldcorp owning 40 per cent. It’s located northeast of Timmins near Porcupine.

Highlights of the Whitney report include 218,100 ounces contained in 966,000 tonnes at a grade of 7.02 g/t gold in the measured category; and 490,500 ounces contained in 2,253,000 tonnes at a grade of 6.77 g/t gold in the indicated category.

Temex also has a NI 43-101 compliant resource for tailings material on its Gowganda silver project. The tailings piles contain an NI 43-101 compliant resource of 1.94 million tonnes grading 47.5 g/t silver for a contained resource of 2.96 million ounces of silver in the indicated category.
