The Green & Beautiful Awards celebrate organizations and businesses whose building and renovation projects enrich the life of the community through public art, beautification, heritage and environmental greening.

The True Grit’s Innova Park offices received the Gold Award for its innovative design and exceeding building code standards in efficiency.

Built in 2012 by Tom Jones Corporation and designed by FORM Architecture Engineering, the 10,000-square-foot facility incorporates wood throughout the design.

The interior has open workstations and glazed office partitions allowing for more natural daylighting throughout the building. The place was designed with removable partitions for more flexible space to handle the addition of future staff.

Slab-on-grade heating provides radiant in-floor heating to maximize thermal comfort and the building envelope is designed to exceed the new energy codes.

The building uses recycled building materials and low chemical finishes to combat environmental sensitivities.

The building was even designed with the ability to add another floor.
