The Town of Parry Sound is expected to take ownership of a former Hydro One property in April as it progresses towards its goal of developing a much-needed industrial park. In January, the utility accepted the town's $325,000-offer for the 11.83-acre North Road property, which includes a 19,000-square-foot building. Hydro One will remain on as a building tenant in a portion of the complex even after the sale closes in early April. The town has assigned Environmental Solutions to proceed with an environmental cleanup of the property - the same company involved in the six-month cleanup of the former Ultramar waterfront property.
