The City of Thunder Bay is weighing its options on the waterfront development project following the termination of negotiations between the city and developers.

A 60-day notice to Thunder Bay Waterfront Developments Inc. expired at midnight Aug. 5, clearing the way for future negotiations for the proposed development of the waterfront.

Officials with the city would not provide details as to why the Portside development deal fell through. The city is now considering other options, one that includes the city to be the developer.
