Air carrier lands service (08/01)

By: Northern Ontario Business Staff

Bearskin Airlines will be extending their service from Ottawa to Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport in Markham in September. The extension is a move to target business people in Markham who generally travel to Pearson International Airport for flight service, says an official with the airline.

Seven return flights between the two cities every weekday and reduced service on weekends will be offered. Although travel time between the two cities increases by about 15 minutes due to the airline's smaller planes, travellers will save over one hour in commuting time by eliminating the need to drive to Pearson airport.
