Bartolucci barks up bucks

By: Northern Ontario Business staff

Christmas came early for some North Bay area businesses through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC).

Howling with pride is the Ultimate Dawg House in North Bay, a leisure centre for dogs and owners, after receiving $75,000.

The sun won't go down on Bur Oak Resources, designers and installers of solar panel systems, thanks to $34,418 in funding.

Shoreline Office Services in Powassan are the cubicle kings after receiving a cheque for $25,000.

Searching for answers is the Municipality of East Ferris with $20,000 in hand to hire a consultant for a community development strategy.

“Our government is committed to fostering new and sustainable economic development opportunities across the North to create jobs and a stronger economy for all Northerners,” said Northern Development and Mines Minister Rick Bartolucci, chairman of NOHFC.
