AbitibiBowater shareholders have officially signed off on changing the pulp and paper company's name to Resolute Forest Products.

At the company's annual general meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina; stockholders approved a resolution to change the legal corporate name, effective May 24.

The company is also changing the common stock ticker from ABH to RFP on both the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
