The Township of Moonbeam's waterfront development project is getting a FedNor bounce.
Funding of $325,000 will go toward infrastructure development at Remi Lake.
Construction involves building an all-season waterfront venue for public events, installing tourism signage and revitalizing the docks, boat launches and a lookout platform.
“Waterfront development is a proven economic driver for Northern communities and we are thrilled that the Government of Canada supports our vision and is investing to develop and grow our economy,” said Moonbeam mayor Gilles Audet in a March 21 statement.
The township of Moonbeam is on Highway 11, east of Kapuskasing.
