North Bay is the host city for the upcoming FONOM-MMAH Northeastern Municipal Conference in May.

The annual event is a partnership between the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

It runs May 9-11 at the Clarion Resort Pinewood Park.

Organizers are billing the event as an opportunity to gain insight into various municipal issues across northeastern Ontario.

Conference highlights include an update on provincial legislation, a ministers' forum and an awards presentation.
